Singapore’s port is one of the busiest ports in the world - with 130,000 vessels entering our port annually,
with an estimate of 1,000 vessels in our port at any given time.
Compliance in the bunkering industry is important so as to ensure that the standards of the bunker companies
complies with the regulations set by the Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore (MPA).
Failure to do so results in the company to be not being able to renew their bunker licence.
However, the amount of technology used in the bunkering industry is still relatively low today.
This is a tedious process where physical compliance documents are still being prepared and checked manually
by employees which requires large amounts of time and manpower.
It can also be prone to human errors which further lowers down the efficiency.
We aim to automate the compliance process by developing a web portal that checks for the compliance of documents
based on the regulatory documents provided by MPA which are stored in our database.
Instead of preparing the conventional paperwork, our users can login to the web portal, select the desired documentation
to upload from a dropdown menu, fill up the required fields and submit through the portal.
Upon submitting the documents, they will automatically be crossed-checked against the regulatory standards set by MPA.
In any case of compliance errors, the respective departments will be alerted.
Otherwise, the documents can then be printed out.
Monthly reports can also be generated through our platform for bunkering companies to monitor their level of compliance and standards.
All records of documents can be reviewed and printed out by the bunkering companies.
